I love some of the new changes to the media library, but the logic is flippin shot. Ever since 3.5 was released, support queries started to fly in. Most specifically due to the way WordPress handles images uploaded to posts.

Before, all you had to do was upload images to the post, and that post would then have “attachments.” With 3.5, you have to now select a dropdown option that says “uploaded to this post” which makes things amazingly confusing. Why? Because now you can’t pull existing images from the media library, and create a gallery with a post because those images wouldn’t be “attached.”

Why on earth would you introduce another step to complete something that previously didn’t require it? Please change this to allow existing media images to be attached to the post without having to choose that option.

This website is a custom child theme running on the PageLines Framework, with Wordpress as the CMS. She was hand-rolled on a Mac, and written in LESS using Sublime Text 2. It's tracked with Git, and deployed on commit via Tower and Beanstalk. Her font stack is Open Sans all the way up, and served via TypeKit. She's afloat via SS WP Engine, with a CDN on MaxCDN. If something doesn't look right, you're probably on a PC, or using a crappy browser.
