Mighty Eagle Tips

Angry Birds just got a lot more addicting. In many ways, it’s a never-ending game. First, beat the game. Then, go back and beat the game with 3 stars on every level. Then, go back a third time and go for all those achievements with the latest Game Center update. Now, we’re going back through for a fourth time, trying to clear every level with total destruction; destroyed via the Mighty Eagle.

You buy it for $0.99. It’s a one time purchase, and you can use it as many times as you’d like. You can use it to clear a level that hasn’t been cleared, but you won’t be able to use it again in the same manner for another 60 minutes.

Once you’ve 3-starred every level, go back and play it again, this time M.E style. Destroy the level completely and you gain a feather next to that level. There are 3 achievements to gain with this; 50 feathers, 100 feathers, and 200 feathers (I’m at 30 something presently).

With the ME, it’s about destroying everything, and not necessarily the pigs. Here are a few things I’ve learned so far.

– Try to “bury” the ME in the middle left of the structure you’re trying to destroy. The ME comes in at roughly a 45-degree angle and exits at roughly a 50-degree angle. Positioning the ME just right will take out a wall of structures going straight up.

– The ME will spin dramatically when you hit something, making it go further and off of the screen. Always aim shorter than you normally would.

– On some levels, there are big boulders. If you fire the ME and land it directly to the left of these, it should scoop them off the screen completely.
